4 Days Itinerary
Experience the best of Tanzania’s wilderness on this unforgettable safari journey through Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti. Witness Africa’s legendary Big Five, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant Maasai culture as you explore three of the country’s most iconic destinations. From thrilling game drives to scenic sunsets and cultural encounters, this adventure offers the perfect blend of wildlife, discovery, and authentic African charm.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your driver-guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Settle in, relax, and enjoy your first dinner surrounded by the calm beauty of Tanzania’s northern highlands. In the evening, your guide will host a short briefing to walk you through the adventure awaiting you — from the sweeping plains of Tarangire to the wonders that lie ahead. Rest well tonight — your African safari begins tomorrow.
After an early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Sometimes described as an ‘eighth Wonder of the World’.
The Crater has achieved world renown status attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors each year. You are unlikely to escape other vehicles here, but you are guaranteed great wildlife viewing in a genuinely mind-blowing environment. There is nowhere else in Africa quite like Ngorongoro!
One of the best places in the country to see the endangered black rhinoceros, lions, herds of wildebeests, zebras and hippos. The park is home to the entirety of the Big Five and is a particularly good place to see lions and Cape buffalo year-round. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. After lunch start to drive to serengeti national park, arrive at the lodge check in for dinner and your overnight stay.
You will have breakfast at the lodge, then continue with a full day of game viewing in central Serengeti. The Serengeti means endless plains in the local African language, and watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merging with the sky at the horizon is an absolutely breathtaking view.
The Serengeti also houses the glorious “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard). Along with the “Big 5”, a very pleasant sighting would be one of Africa’s most beautiful animals – The Impala. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards.
The central portion of the Serengeti - known as the Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well-representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. In Seronera, one must really look out for the many lion prides that thrive in this region. A picnic lunch will be served. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.
After breakfast at the camp, you will begin your journey to Kilimanjaro International Airport, traveling through the stunning landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a packed picnic lunch.
En route, you'll visit Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s most significant archaeological sites. Here, you'll explore the rich history of early human evolution and learn about groundbreaking discoveries made by renowned paleoanthropologists.
Your next stop will be a Maasai Boma, a traditional Maasai village, where you'll gain insight into the vibrant culture, customs, and daily life of one of East Africa’s most iconic tribes.
Following these enriching cultural and historical experiences, continue your scenic drive toward the airport. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views and a final chance to spot wildlife such as elephants, zebras, gazelles, and even lions, making this a memorable conclusion to your Tanzanian adventure.
